I apologize for the lackluster rendition, but it satisfies my earnest ambition to reconcile Teodoreanu's poem with an appropriate melody. I tried to capture, what I determined to be, a doina (Romanian ode) style to the meandering rhythm of Teodoreanu's verse. Romanians should recognize the signature strophic quality of the opening lines, while the refrain moves to more simple lyrical phrasing. The accompanying storyboard is comprised of still shots of Romanian pastoral scenes along with shots of Lili, and a few from my personal collection. Hope you enjoy it.
