this site is dedicated to my father, Deaconul Aurel Plantus, who always encouraged my search for meaning and creativity, and to my mother, Deaconiţa Mary, who always understood my passion. the images and musings in these pages reflect my interdisciplinary skills and interests in the arts and sciences, within the larger context of a challenging and cherished life. i have been called a renaissance woman by some because of my enthusiasm for knowledge and enlightenment; i have been called industrious and resourceful by others who have followed my struggles; but most people know me as a tireless champion for the simple pursuits of all that is good, and true, and purposeful. others, still, think i'm nuts. i might be.
Acest site este dedicat tatălui meu, Diaconul Aurel Plantus (1923-2002), care mereu m-a īncurajat īn cercetarea semnificaţiilor şi creativităţii vieţii, şi Diaconiţei Maria Plantus, care īntotdeauna mi-a īnţeles pasiunea. Imaginile, precum şi meditaţiile acestui locaş, reflectă preocupările mele interdisciplinare, alături de pasiunile mele artistice, culturale, şi ştiinţifice in cadrul unei vieţi scumpe, dar pusă de numeroase ori la īncercare. Unii m-au considerat renascentistă din cauza entuziasmului meu pentru ştiinţă şi iluminism, alţii m-au catalogat drept descucăreaţă, judecāndu-mă după obstacolele īnvinse. Mulţi mă ştiu campioana tuturor lucrurilor simple şi bune, dar şi cu scop adevărat. Unii, īnsă, mă cred... lunatecă. Poate şi sunt...

the diverse projects and modest accomplishments of my life range from emotionally driven encounters with color, form, and substance in fine and performing arts and literature. the most abiding influence in every undertaking of mine comes from my parents, who taught me to love life and never fear the unknown, for it is this philosophy that confers true liberty upon the heart and spirit, and cultivates the imagination so that it may always light even the darkest, and deepest journeys of the mind and soul.
Proiectele diverse şi modeste pe care le-am reuşit īn viaţa mea provin din confruntări cu culori, formă şi substanţă atāt īn artă, cāt şi literatură. Cea mai statornică influenţă īn tot ce fac este datorită părinţilor mei care m-au īnvăţat a iubi viaţa şi a nu mă teme de necunoscut, deoarece tocmai această filozofie este cea care conferă libertatea adevărată inimii şi spiritului, şi cultivă imaginaţia astfel īncāt să ilumineze călătoriile cele mai profunde şi īntunecate ale minţii şi sufletului.
